Naga Chaitanya-Sobhita Dhulipala's Haldi Ceremony: Check Inside Pics From Pre-Wedding Celebration

Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala celebrated their haldi ceremony on Friday, November 29, in Hyderabad.

Photos from the event have surfaced on social media. The pre-wedding festivities began with this ceremony, attended by close family members. Their wedding is scheduled for December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.

Naga Chaitanya expressed his excitement about the upcoming wedding. "It's been lovely getting to know Sobhita and her family over the past few months. Watching the families interact has been a joy. I'm really looking forward to the wedding day, experiencing the rituals, and seeing the families come together," he said.

Sobhita Dhulipala wore two different outfits during the haldi ceremony. Initially, she opted for a bright red saree paired with a full-hand blouse, accessorised with a chunky choker and maang tikka. Later, she embraced her character Vanathi's style from Ponniyin Selvan by wearing a yellow outfit for the ceremony.

A video capturing highlights from the haldi ceremony has been shared online. In one clip, Sobhita and Chaitanya are seen sitting together as family members shower them with flowers. Sobhita wore a red saree with traditional jewellery while Chaitanya donned a white kurta pyjama set.

Rumours circulated that the couple sold their wedding film rights to Netflix for Rs 50 crore. However, Sobhita denied this claim in an interview with Zoom, stating, "This is false news. There is no such deal."

The couple got engaged on August 8, 2024, in Hyderabad amidst family members. Veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni announced this news by sharing engagement photos of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala on his X handle.

During another part of the haldi ceremony, Sobhita was seen sitting inside a large vessel as family members poured water and flowers over her. She participated in several other rituals alongside her family members during this time.

Naga Chaitanya was previously married to Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They announced their separation through a joint statement on social media in October 2021.

Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala have been dating since 2022. Their relationship has grown stronger over time, leading up to their engagement earlier this year in August at a private ceremony attended by close friends and family in Hyderabad.
