'Mr. Bachchan' Vs 'Double iSmart' Day 1 Box Office Collection: Which Movie Has Upper Hand?
Ravi Teja's 'Mr Bachchan' and Ram Pothineni's 'Double iSmart', which hit the screens on Thursday to coincide with the Independence Day celebration, have failed to set the box office on fire on day 1.

However, the night shows dipped to 53.76 per cent. The film's Hindi version failed to capture significant attention, leading to an underwhelming response across multiple regions. In total, Double iSmart earned approximately ₹7.35 crore net across all languages on its first day.
The film had average or above average viewership in Hyderabad, Vijaywada, Warangal and Vizag.

Ravi Teja's Mr Bachchan also struggled to gain momentum. With morning show occupancy at 35.04 per cent and afternoon shows peaking at 53.75 per cent, the film saw a decline in the evening and night slots, posting 45.19 per cent and 30.73 per cent respectively. The film's 1-day India net collection stood at a modest ₹5.25 crore.
However, Mr Bachchan had decent to average response in Hyderabad, Vizag and a few other places.
Both films had high expectations due to their release on a national holiday, but their opening performances indicate a slow start. Industry insiders will be closely watching the weekend numbers to see if they can gain traction and improve their box office revenue.
