Mithi River Cleaning Scam: Actor Dino Morea Appears Before Enforcement Directorate
Actor Dino Morea on Wednesday appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the Mithi River cleaning scam. The case, initially filed by Mumbai Police's EOW, accuses contractors of fraud and cartelisation, resulting in a Rs 65 crore loss to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The ED conducted searches at Dino Morea's Mumbai residence on June 6 as part of their investigation into the scam. These raids also targeted homes of contractors and BMC officials implicated in the case. The ED's involvement marks a parallel inquiry alongside the original police investigation.
