'Manamey' Review
'Manamey' adheres to a familiar formulaic narrative, where Vikram (Sharwanand) and Shubhadra (Krithi Shetty) decide to care for their friends' orphaned child. The movie explores their journey as they gradually develop romantic feelings for each other, intertwined with the child becoming an integral part of their lives.

The first half, buoyed by Sharwa's witty performance and visually appealing scenes, provides an enjoyable experience, even if it lacks originality. However, the villain track feels contrived, and certain action sequences come across as unrealistic, detracting from the overall quality.
The film's success hinges on its ability to evoke emotion in the second half, but here, it falters. Tedious sequences and weak character development, particularly with Seerat Kapoor's role, lead to a lackluster experience. Poorly executed ideas, such as Sharwa's character's subplot about a thesis, further diminish the film's impact. The failure to strike a balance between the child's storyline and the romantic subplot underscores the director's inability to deliver a compelling narrative.
Despite intermittent moments of fun and Sharwa's commendable performance, "Manamey" ultimately falls short due to its inability to sustain emotional depth throughout.
As far as the performance of the actors are concerned, Sharwanand looks perfect for the roles and he has pulled of the character with ease. Krithi Shetty has done her character well.
Technically, the movie is powered with brilliant visuals and a few songs are decent.
What the viewers say about the film?
Venkky Reviews: #Manamey is an inferior movie that tries to fall into the feel good family/love drama template. The 1st half is watchable with some light hearted comedy that somewhat works. However, the 2nd half goes on endlessly without any impactful scenes. The emotional connect needed for this genre is missing coupled with underwritten characterizations. Not up to the mark!
