Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu Box Office Collection Day 3: Chiru-Starrer Holding Well In AP, Karnataka

Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is turning out to be one of the strongest performers of the Sankranthi 2026 season, as the film continued its solid run on Day 3 (Wednesday, January 14) with impressive occupancies and a healthy jump in collections.

After earning an estimated ₹60.35 crore India net in its first two days, the film added another ₹19.65 crore on Day 3, taking its total India net to a strong ₹80 crore in just three days, as per Sacnilk data.

Despite being a working day, the film managed to maintain momentum across Telugu-speaking markets, clearly indicating sustained audience interest and positive word of mouth.

Day 3 Occupancy Shows Strong Hold

On Wednesday, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 60.89%, which is an excellent figure for Day 3. The trend through the day showed a steady rise in footfalls:

Morning shows: 36.76%

Afternoon shows: 65.37%

Evening shows: 71.05%

Night shows: 70.37%

The strong evening and night numbers suggest that family audiences and working professionals continued to prefer later shows, keeping theatres busy well into the night.

The film dominated the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP-TG) belt, where Chiranjeevi enjoys a massive fan base.

Hyderabad remained the powerhouse, recording a massive 71.75% overall occupancy across 563 shows, with night shows peaking at 88%.

In the metro cities, the film also showed steady growth. Chennai posted 39.50% overall occupancy, with evening and night shows going beyond 50%. Bengaluru registered 33.25%, while Mumbai came in at 28.50%, driven largely by better night turnout. The NCR region remained relatively muted at 14.75%, but even there, evening and night shows showed signs of improvement.

Collections: Strong Hold After Initial Drop

After a blockbuster Day 1 of ₹32.25 crore, collections had dropped on Tuesday to ₹18.75 crore (a 41.86% decline), which is common after a huge opening. However, Day 3 saw a positive growth of 4.8%, with collections rising to ₹19.65 crore, showing that the film has stabilised and is holding extremely well.

The gross collections also paint a powerful picture. By the end of Day 3, the film has earned:

AP-TG: ₹85.06 crore

Karnataka: ₹8.14 crore

Tamil Nadu: ₹1.06 crore

Kerala: ₹0.07 crore

Rest of India: ₹1.64 crore

This takes the total gross to ₹95.97 crore in just three days, as per the data.

With strong occupancies, especially in AP and Telangana, and the festive Pongal holidays still in play, Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu is well positioned to cross major milestones in the coming days. If the current trend continues, the film is set for a highly profitable first week and could soon enter the ₹100 crore club at the gross box office.
