Mamta Kulkarni Makes Emotional Return To India After 25 Years, Reflects On Past Controversies

Mamta Kulkarni, known for her roles alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in 'Karan Arjun,' has returned to India after a 25-year absence. She shared an emotional video on Instagram, expressing how deeply moved she felt upon her arrival. As her flight approached India, she was overwhelmed with nostalgia. The moment she landed at Mumbai airport, tears filled her eyes as memories flooded back.

Her return to India is not just about revisiting old memories but also brings attention to past controversies. Mamta Kulkarni's name was linked to a significant drug case in 2016. On April 12 of that year, Thane police seized three kilograms of ephedrine powder from two vehicles. This substance is classified as a narcotic drug. The drugs were valued at approximately Rs 80 lakh, and the accused, Mayur and Sagar, were found with fake identity cards.

Legal Proceedings and Court's Decision

The investigation led to the arrest of ten individuals, while seven others, including Mamta Kulkarni, were declared wanted by the authorities. The police claimed that Mamta attended a meeting in Kenya in January 2016 with Vicky Goswami and others to discuss the drug trade. However, Mamta Kulkarni denied these allegations through her lawyer Madhav Thorat. She argued that the accusations were based solely on a co-accused's statement without solid evidence.

After examining the case details and evidence presented, the court determined there was insufficient proof against Mamta under the NDPS Act. This decision cleared her of any charges related to the narcotics case.

Mamta's return marks a significant moment in her life as she reconnects with her homeland after decades away. Her journey back home has been both an emotional and reflective experience for her.
