'Malayalee From India' Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad; Find Out From Viewers' Words
Nivin Pauly's latest movie 'Malayalee from India' has opened to fairly positive reviews. The Malayalam film, which is released on Friday, is directed by Dijo Jose Antony of 'Jana Gana Mana' fame.
Anaswara Rajan, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Shine Tom Chacko, Salim Kumar, Manju Pillai and others are part of the cast. The film has Jakes Bejoy's music, Sudeep Elamon's cinematography and Sreejith Sarang's editing.

Aalparambil Gopi, portrayed by Nivin Pauly, is a happy man living in his village and spends time with his friend Malghosh, played by Dhyan Sreenivasan. However, a misunderstanding escalates into turmoil between the Hindu and Muslim communities. To protect Gopi from the ensuing chaos and authorities, he is sent abroad for employment. But will Gopi and Malghosh come to grasp the gravity of their actions? And how does Gopi's time away from his family contribute to his personal growth?
A political satire brimming with humor in the first half takes a serious turn, delving into themes of patriotism and emotion in the latter half. Pauly captivates with his charm in the role of Aalparambil Gopi. Anaswara did not have much to do in the movie and Deepak Jethi has played his part well.
Manju Pillai shines as his mother, delivering an excellent performance, while Dhyan as Malghosh holds his own. Director Dijo Jose Antony attempts to navigate multiple themes in the latter part, reminiscent of recent films. Overall, it's an enjoyable entertainer, perfect for passing the time.
However, the story beats around the bush which is one of the major drawbacks of the movie.

IamFlash_VJ: I Just Loved the Film❤️ Humanity Beyond Religion For me #MalayaleeFromIndia Is a Must Watch❤️
Dialogues Where So Nicely written
2nd Half > 1st Half
Hats-off to @NivinOfficial For Picking up this Brave script🔥
Avinash Ramachandran: #MalayaleeFromIndia has been watched.
It is a "Heart is in the right place" type film with a compelling political stance.
But it takes such a random and roundabout way to deliver the message that it ends up as a hugely disappointing film where the underwhelming social commentary is bookended by a false start and a disastrous end. #NivinPauly
Sridevi Sreedhar: #MalayaleeFromIndia 3.5/5 A political satire with loads of fun in the first half which turns serious, filled with message, patriotism and emotions in the second half.
@NivinOfficial impresses with his charisma as Aalparambil Gopi. Among supporting actors Manju Pillai as his mother is excellent while Dhyan as Malghosh is decent. Director Dijo Jose Antony tries to juggle with too many themes in the second half which reminds us of films in the recent past. On the whole, a time pass entertainer
