Malayalam Actress Vincy Aloshious Accuses Co-Star of Unwanted Advances On Film Set
Malayalam actress Vincy Aloshious recently shared a disturbing encounter with a co-star allegedly under the influence of drugs while filming. Speaking at the 67th anniversary of the KCYM Ernakulam-Angamaly Major Archdiocese at Pallippuram Church in Kerala, Vincy revealed her stance on working with actors who use drugs, stating, "If I know someone is using drugs, I will not work with them." This prompted a significant online discussion, where she elaborated on a troubling experience with a co-star who, she claims, was intoxicated on set.
Although she refrained from naming the actor or the specific film, Vincy explained, "While working on a project, I encountered a situation with the lead actor. He was on drugs and behaved inappropriately, which made it impossible to continue working with him." She shared more details in an Instagram video, recounting how the actor insisted on helping her with her dress adjustment in front of everyone, which made her feel extremely uncomfortable.

Vincy further described a moment when she noticed a white substance spilling from the actor's mouth during a scene rehearsal. "It was clear he had been using drugs on set, and it disrupted the entire environment," she explained. "Using drugs in your personal life is one thing, but when it impacts your professional environment, that's unacceptable."
This unsettling experience led Vincy to make a firm decision about her professional boundaries. "I don't want to work in such an environment, nor with someone who doesn't understand the consequences of their actions," she asserted. "This is a personal decision based on my own experiences, and I stand by it."
Acknowledging the possible career consequences, she noted that this stance could limit her opportunities in the future. However, she emphasized that she remains resolute: "If I find out that someone is using drugs, I won't work with them."
Vincy Aloshious' bold statement comes at a time when the issue of drug abuse within the Malayalam film industry has been under scrutiny. Known for her roles in films such as 'Vikruthi', 'Rekha', and 'Jana Gana Mana', Vincy has earned recognition for her performances and won the Kerala State Award for Best Actress. Her latest appearance was in 'Marivillin Gopurangal', where she portrayed the character of Meenakshi.
