Malayalam Actor Mohanlal Hospitalised, Read Details Here

Mohanlal, a renowned actor in the Malayalam film industry, has been hospitalised after returning from Gujarat. He was there for the shooting of his upcoming movie, L2: Empuraan. The news of his hospitalisation was confirmed by Sreedhar Pillai, a well-known South film writer and columnist, on his X account. Pillai shared a medical bulletin from Amrita Vishwa Vidhyapeetham Hospital in Kochi and wished Mohanlal a speedy recovery.

According to the medical bulletin, Mohanlal was admitted on August 16 due to high fever, breathing difficulties, and generalised myalgia. Doctors suspect he has a viral respiratory infection and have recommended medications along with five days of rest. He has also been advised to avoid crowded places during this period.

The release date for Barroz has been rescheduled multiple times since its initial announcement in 2019. The film began production in 2021 and is based on Jijo Punnoose's novel Barroz: Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure. Antony Perumbavoor is producing the movie under Aashirvad Cinemas, with Santosh Sivan handling cinematography and music composed by Lydian Nadhaswaran and Mark Kilian.
