Lucky Baskhar Story

Set in late 1980s Mumbai, the film follows Bhaskar (Dulquer Salmaan), a diligent bank employee overlooked for a promotion despite his loyalty. Frustrated, he decides to rob his own bank and invest in the underworld, quickly amassing great wealth.

His greed grows, and he crosses paths with Harsha Mehra, a prominent figure in the stock market. Joining forces with Harsha's team, Bhaskar rapidly gains millions, but his actions soon draw the attention of the CBI, putting him under intense scrutiny. Meanwhile, his marriage with his wife (Meenakshi Chaudhary) begins to unravel. The story unfolds as Bhaskar struggles to clear his name amidst a high-stakes scam involving powerful players.

Venky Reviews: #LuckyBaskhar A Well Made Financial Crime Drama!

Narrated as a proper drama presenting a genre that is very unique in recent times with commercial elements placed subtly.

This film does feel lengthy at times and the writing is a little too convenient in the first half, however, Director Venky Atluri excelled in presenting this unique drama in a mostly engaging way with well written dialogues.

Dulquer is excellent in this one along with Meenakshi and the rest of the cast. Productions values stand out. Good Watch 👍

Lucky Baskhar has Engaging 1st Half!

Being narrated as a proper financial crime drama in an interesting way with no deviations. Feels lengthy in a few parts and somewhat too convenient at times but does not bore. Sets up well for the 2nd half!
