Landlord OTT Release Date: Forget Rakkasapuradhol, Raj B Shetty's This Kannada Film Game For His Digital Debut

Even As Raj B Shety's Rakkasapuradhol is doing well at the box office, his last-month release Landlord is preparing to make its OTT debut.

Duniya Vijay, Rachita Ram and Raj B Shetty-starrer Landlord has failed to set the box office on fire. As the business completely dropped, the movie is set for its digital premiere.

Jadeshaa K Hampi-directed movie has Rakesh Adiga, Shishir Baikady, Achyuth Kumar, Umashree, Bhavana Rao, Abhi Das, Sharath Lohitashwa and others in the cast. B Ajaneesh Loknath has scored the music, Swamy J. Gowda's cinematography and KM Prakash's editing.

Story:
Duniya Vijay plays Raachayya, a physically imposing but strangely servile man who lives under the thumb of the villainous Sanna Dani (Raj B. Shetty). Sanna Dani is a powerful, upper-caste antagonist who controls the police and politicians, using his influence to oppress the local farmhands. Although Raachayya appears defeated, he carries a hidden strength that threatens to explode at any moment.

The first half of Landlord uses this suppressed-hero dynamic to explore the harsh realities of the village. It highlights the contrast between Raachayya's warm family life with Lingamma and Bhagya and the exploitation led by Sanna Dani, who ensures that laborers are paid only in grain to maintain his absolute control over their lives.

As per the buzz, Zee Kannada has acquired the satellite and OTT rights of Landlord. However, the price paid for the digital rights.

Usually, it takes at least four to five weeks for a new movie to hit the OTT platform. Hence, the movie is expected to release in the OTT platform either on February 20 or 27.

Meanwhile, Kiccha Sudeep has hailed Raj B Shetty's other movie Rakkasapuradhol. In a post on X, the Max star wrote, "Hearing great reviews about #Rakkasapuradhol ... congrats @stuntravivarma.. u surely deserve the best. Shall watch it ASAP.
