'Lal Salaam' Review: What's Good, What's Bad; Find It From Viewers' Words

Aishwarya Rajinikanth is back with her third directorial feature film 'Lal Salaam'. The movie bankrolled by Lyca Productions has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the leads.

The movie has an extended cameo from Rajinikanth. It is interesting to note that Aishwarya is directing her for the first time. Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar, Thambi Ramaiah, and others are in the supporting cast. Notably, World Cup-winning cricket captain Kapil Dev is doing a role in the movie.

Two-time Oscar Award-winning musician AR Rahman has scored the music. Vishnu Rangasamy is the cinematographer and B Pravin Baaskar's editing.

Vishnu Vishal takes on the role of the protagonist, a troubled Muslim character. He is portrayed as an alcoholic troublemaker, but a pujari predicts that he will bring honour to his village. Cricket becomes his sole path to redemption, but he is denied a fair opportunity. The film appears to delve into the theme of religious harmony, a timely and relevant subject.

The movie has garnered a lot of hype with its trailer. As the movie has Rajinikanth in the cast, people are having expectations from the flick.
