Kuberaa OTT Release Update: Disappointing News In Store For Dhanush, Nagarjuna Fans

Dhanush and Nagarjuna-starrer Kuberaa has completed 25 days in theatres. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film has performed well at the box office in select markets.

While Dhanush plays the lead role, the movie's collections in his home territory of Tamil Nadu have been surprisingly low, with the majority of its business coming from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Kuberaa has grossed just over ₹150 crore worldwide since its release on June 20. The film opened strong with ₹14.75 crore on its first day and wrapped up the opening week with ₹69 crore. As of now, it has collected nearly ₹88 crore nett in India, with its global gross comfortably crossing the ₹100 crore mark-a notable achievement for a socially-driven drama with a nearly three-hour runtime.

Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa presents a gripping tale of power, greed, and moral conflict. The story revolves around a beggar's dramatic transformation, leading to a high-stakes battle between wealth and authority, ultimately exploring themes of ambition and redemption.

With its strong performances and intense narrative, Kuberaa continues to draw audiences even as it nears the end of its theatrical run.

The film is set to make its digital debut reportedly on June 28. As per the reports, the makers had planned to include deleted scenes in the digital version. However, the plans have gone for a change and the theatrical version will be released in the OTT.
