KD: The Devil Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad In Dhruva Sarja's Film?

Dhruva Sarja and Prem's ambitious movie KD: The Devil will hit the screens on Thursday. The multilingual movie has big names in the cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran and Ramesh Aravind.

Reeshma Nanaiah and Jisshu Sengupta are part of the cast. Nora Fatehi has done a special number while Kiccha Sudeep makes a special appearance. The movie is bankrolled by KVN Productions which is currently funding big-budget movies such as Yash's Toxic and Vijay's Toxic.

The Kannada film has the music of Arjun Janya, Sanketh Achar's editing and William David's cinematography.

KD is a period movie set in the 1970s. The story is centered around Kaalidasa aka KD, whose small mistakes land him the underworld.

The movie has been well-received by the fans who are hailing the action sequences and Dhruva's performance. Special mention for his comedies. While the first half builds the tempo, the second half gives a befitting end.

There are plenty of interesting moments and Kiccha Sudeep's special appearance drive the audience crazy in theatres. Arjun Janya's music is major highlight.

The Cinéprism: KD: The Devil works mainly because of Dhruva Sarja. He's got that raw, intense vibe, and you can see how he's built his fanbase over the years. Feels like a solid comeback after Martin...great screen presence and fully in sync emotionally.

Second half is where it picks up. Things start moving, emotions land better, and he handles it nicely. Dark tone, good action... but yeah, it's mostly riding on him.
