Kantara 2 Day 6 Box Office Collection: Rishab Shetty's Film Continues Its Phenomenal Run

Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 (Kantara 2) has continued its phenomenal run at the box office as the movie has managed to do well on Tuesday as well. After a thunderous opening weekend and a slight dip on Monday, the film showed solid hold on Day 6, adding ₹33.5 crore (net) to its domestic total.

With this, the film's India net collection now stands at ₹290.25 crore - a remarkable feat for a film in its first week, as per Sacnilk data.

Kannada version dominates home turf

• The Kannada version continues to lead with exceptional occupancy across Karnataka, recording an impressive 78.90% overall on Tuesday.
• Bengaluru theatres maintained strong footfalls at 82%, while Mysuru (93%), Shivamogga (96.5%), and coastal towns like Kundapura and Tumakuru touched almost full occupancy with near 98-100% evening and night shows.
• With a Day 6 Kannada collection of ₹13 crore, the total tally for the version now stands at ₹89.35 crore. The movie's stronghold in its home state proves Rishab Shetty's storytelling still commands deep emotional resonance among local audiences.

Hindi version continues steady rise

• The Hindi dubbed version remains the second biggest contributor with ₹11 crore on Day 6, showing excellent traction in metro cities like Pune (50.5%) and Mumbai (41.75%).
• Evening and night shows saw a considerable jump, especially in multiplex chains. The Hindi version has now collected ₹93.25 crore - a strong showing that signals the film's pan-India appeal beyond the South.

Telugu version sees mixed trends

• In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Kantara 2 witnessed moderate occupancy of 30.85%. Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Vizag performed decently, though smaller centers saw dips. The Telugu version added ₹4.75 crore on Tuesday, taking its total to ₹57.4 crore. The word-of-mouth remains strong, and footfalls are expected to hold steady through the week.

Tamil and Malayalam versions stable

• In Tamil Nadu, the film clocked 37.76% overall occupancy, led by Chennai (44.5%) and Pondicherry (65.5%). Despite competition from local releases, Kantara 2 managed a ₹2.5 crore Day 6 haul, bringing its total Tamil collection to ₹27.25 crore.
• In Kerala, the Malayalam version earned ₹2.25 crore on Tuesday, supported by solid numbers in Kozhikode and Kochi. The version's total has now reached ₹23 crore.

After six days, Kantara: A Legend - Chapter 1 has grossed ₹290.25 crore net in India (₹89.35 Cr Kannada, ₹57.4 Cr Telugu, ₹93.25 Cr Hindi, ₹27.25 Cr Tamil, ₹23 Cr Malayalam).

With its gripping narrative, divine backdrop, and Rishab Shetty's magnetic performance, Kantara 2 has once again struck gold at the box office. The film is expected to cross the ₹300 crore mark on Wednesday, making it one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of 2025 so far.
