Kantara 2 Box Office Collection: Check Language Wise Business Made By Rishab's Film In 7 Days

Rishab Shetty's Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 continued its solid run at the box office, ending its first week with impressive numbers across multiple languages. Despite a visible weekday drop, the film's seventh-day performance confirmed its strong nationwide pull - especially in Karnataka and urban centres across North and South India.

According to early estimates, the film collected around ₹25 crore (India net) on Wednesday, taking its 7-day total to ₹316 crore, as per Sacnilk data. The Kannada version continues to lead the pack, followed closely by Hindi, which has seen an exceptional surge in metro regions.

Kannada Version: Strong in Core Centres

The Kannada version, released widely across India, recorded a healthy overall occupancy of 56% on Day 7, with late-night shows nearing full capacity in key cities.

Bengaluru remained the film's biggest contributor with 934 shows and 81% night occupancy.

Smaller centres like Tumakuru (93%), Shivamogga (89%), and Kundapura (88%) reported near-housefull shows.

The film also performed decently in non-Karnataka regions like Mumbai (20%) and Hyderabad (17%), confirming its pan-India Kannada fan base.

Day 7 Kannada collections are estimated at ₹9 crore, bringing the total for this version to ₹98.85 crore after one week.

Hindi Version: Urban Growth Continues

The Hindi dubbed version, which has found strong traction in metros, posted an overall 16.4% occupancy on Wednesday.

Mumbai (23%), Pune (27%), and Bengaluru (27%) were the best-performing regions.

Evening and night shows continued to see better turnout than mornings, thanks to positive word-of-mouth.

The Hindi version collected around ₹8.5 crore on Day 7, pushing its total to ₹102 crore - the highest among all language versions, underscoring the film's appeal across linguistic barriers.

Telugu Version: Moderate Weekday Hold

The Telugu version maintained a decent presence across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and select metros like Bengaluru and Chennai.
It registered an overall occupancy of 23.8% on Day 7, with better night show numbers.

Hyderabad (26%), Warangal (32%), and Kakinada (26%) led the performance chart.

The version earned approximately ₹3.5 crore on Wednesday, taking its total to ₹60.9 crore.

Tamil Version: Holding Ground in Urban Pockets

The Tamil version of Kantara 2 clocked an overall 35% occupancy on Wednesday.

Chennai (42%), Pondicherry (67%), and Coimbatore (33%) remained the top contributors.

Evening and night shows performed particularly well, averaging 45-50% across major centres.

The version collected about ₹2.15 crore on Day 7, with a total of ₹29.4 crore in its opening week.

Malayalam Version: Steady in Kerala

The Malayalam version saw consistent weekday attendance, with overall 29% occupancy on Wednesday and notable growth in night shows (47%).

Kochi (30%), Kozhikode (39%), and Bengaluru (43%) reported the best figures.

It added ₹1.85 crore on Day 7, bringing its week-one total to ₹24.85 crore.

With ₹316 crore in just seven days, Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1 has emerged as one of the biggest Indian films of 2025 so far. Its multilingual rollout strategy has paid off handsomely - while Kannada remains the heart of the film's success, Hindi and Telugu versions have significantly expanded its nationwide reach.
