Kannada Actor Shiva Rajkumar Defeats Cancer, Says He Will Come With Full Force
Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar recently shared an uplifting health update on Instagram. After undergoing surgery for bladder cancer, he announced that he is now cancer-free. The surgery took place at the Miami Cancer Institute in the US on December 24, 2024. Fans had been eagerly waiting for news about his health, and the actor's announcement brought relief and joy.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Geetha Shiva Rajkumar, his wife, shared the good news. She expressed gratitude for the fans' prayers and said, "Happy New Year to one and all. Because of your prayers, all of Dr Shiva Rajkumar's reports have turned negative. Even the pathology reports have come out negative, and he is now officially cancer-free."

Support from Family and Fans
Shiva Rajkumar spoke about his emotions before the surgery. He admitted feeling emotional when leaving for the US but found strength in his fans, whom he referred to as 'Abhimani Devaru'. He also credited co-artists, friends, family, and doctors for providing courage during this challenging time.
The actor acknowledged his wife Geetha's unwavering support throughout his journey. He stated, "Throughout my life, without Geetha there is no Shivanna. I don't know if I'll get such support from anybody else, but I'll get it from her." His daughter Niveditha Rajkumar also played a significant role in supporting him.
Continuing Work Amid Treatment
Despite undergoing treatment, Shiva Rajkumar continued working on his projects. He revealed that he shot a climax sequence for his upcoming film "45" while receiving chemotherapy. Additionally, he actively promoted his last film "Bhairathi Ranagal" during this period.
Clarifying details about his surgery, Shiva Rajkumar explained that it was not a kidney transplant but involved removing the urinary bladder with an artificial replacement. He mentioned keeping details private to avoid causing worry among fans.
Plans for Return to Work
The actor shared plans to resume work gradually following doctors' advice. He said they recommended taking it slow initially but encouraged him to return with full energy after March. "I'll surely come with full force," he assured fans.
Shiva Rajkumar was last seen in "Bhairathi Ranagal," released on November 15, 2024. Currently working on multiple films like "Uttarakaanda," "45," and "Bhairavana Kone Paata," he's also set to appear in Ram Charan's RC 16.
The actor will return to India on January 26 after completing his recovery phase abroad. His determination and positive outlook have inspired many as he looks forward to resuming his career with renewed vigour.
