Kannada Actor Chetan Chandra Brutally Attacked In Bengaluru

A gang of 20 people brutally attacked Kannada actor Chethan Chandra on Sunday night in Kaggalipura.

The actor was attacked when he was on his way home after visiting temple on the Mother's Day. He has opened up about the incident on his Instagram account.

Shortly after the incident, Chethan went live on his Instagram account, recounting the terrifying experience. He described how an unknown individual, who appeared to be intoxicated, initially followed him and vandalized his car.

"I sensed that the man was trying to rob, so I approached him regarding the car damage. In no time, a group of about 20 individuals, including a woman, gathered and began assaulting me," the actor said.

Characterizing the ordeal as a negative encounter, Chethan stressed the importance of seeking justice. After the assault, he promptly went to the nearby Kaggalipura police station to lodge a complaint and sought first aid at a nearby hospital.

"Look at what happened to me today. They attacked me severely and even broke my nose. I received initial treatment from the police. However, the gang responsible for the attack returned and damaged my car again. It's a terrible experience," he said.

Chethan Chandra, renowned for his portrayal as the lead in the Kannada daily soap 'Sathyam Shivam Sundaram', has featured in numerous Kannada films.
