Kamal Haasan Out Of 'Bigg Boss Tamil 8': Who Will Replace Him?

In a surprising turn of events, actor Kamal Haasan, who has hosted seven seasons of 'Bigg Boss Tamil', has opted out of the Vijay TV's hit show.

The actor himself announced on Tuesday that he will not be hosting the upcoming season. While his fans are disappointed to hear the news, people are now eagerly looking forward to know who will replace him.

Actress Ramya Krishnan had replaced him as a guest host in 'Bigg Boss Tamil 5' in 2021. She had taken over the reins from the Ulaganayagan after he tested positive for COVID-19. Her episodes had met with positive responses.

However, there are less chances of her getting the opportunity. A year later, Simbu was made the host of 'Bigg Boss Ultimate' or the OTT version due to Kamal Haasan's busy schedule.

He along with a few others are in contention. Unconfirmed insiders say that Vijay Sethupathi and Suriya are also in the race. However, the Vijay TV has remained tight-lipped about the next host which is expected to be announced in the coming days.

So, the fans have to wait for some more time to get clarity on the issue.

Kamal Haasan's Big Announcement
In a social media post, Kamal Haasan has claimed that he is taking "small break" from the show.

He said, "Dear Viewers, With a heavy heart, I wish to inform you that I will be taking a small break from our journey that began 7 years ago. Due to prior cinematic commitments, I'm unable to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Tamil." He continued, "I have been privileged to reach you in your homes. You have showered me with your love and affection, for which you have my everlasting gratitude. Your spirited and passionate support of the contestants is at the core of what makes Bigg Boss Tamil one of the best television reality shows in India."

He also said, "Personally, being your host has been an enriching association, where I have honestly shared my learnings. I will always be grateful for this learning experience. I sincerely thank each one of you and the contestants in the show for our time together. Lastly, I would like to thank the wonderful team at Vijay TV, as well as every crew member who has been involved in making this enterprise a grand success. I am sure this season will be yet another success."

Kamal's hosting skills had resonated with the audience as he used the stage to take political digs at the people in power while trying to keep the show entertaining. However, the 'Red Card' issued to contestant Pradeep had not gone well with the fans.
