Recently, Vyjayanthi Movies posted the first official trailer for their upcoming movie 'Kalki 2898 AD' on their YouTube channel.

The trailer itself has seen great success, reaching over 2.6 crore views on YouTube across five different languages.

The film is set to release worldwide on 27 June, 2024, in both theatres and IMAX. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film will feature actors such as Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and more.

There were also many netizens who compared the visuals of the movie to other western franchises like the classic sci-fi movies of Star Wars, or the post-apocalyptic action movies of Mad Max. One such reviewer wrote, "The trailer by the looks lacks the originality in the visuals of it's futuristic world. Feels like you have seen this world somewhere before. I was hyped up, but now I am keeping my expectations realistic to the past experiences."
