Kalki 2 Shoot Delayed Because Of Deepika Padukone? Know Where Is Actor Busy
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently introduced their daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, to the public at a private event in Mumbai. During this gathering, Deepika was asked about the sequel to her successful film, Kalki 2898 AD. She expressed that her daughter is her main focus right now, and she is not in a hurry to return to work commitments.
Deepika shared that she intends to personally raise Dua, just as her mother raised her. "I will raise my daughter myself, just the way my mom raised me," she said at the event. This decision has reportedly led to a delay in the shooting schedule for Kalki 2, which was initially planned for summer 2025.

Deepika's Role in Kalki 2898 AD
The film Kalki 2898 AD was released on June 27 and featured stars like Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan alongside Deepika. It received an impressive response from audiences worldwide, grossing over Rs 1000 crore at the box office. Director Nag Ashwin praised Deepika's portrayal of her character, highlighting its significance to the storyline.
Nag Ashwin stated that Deepika's character is crucial to the narrative of Kalki. "She is the most important part of the story," he mentioned. He explained that without her character, there would be no story or film. This underscores Deepika's pivotal role in the movie's success.
Dua: The Answer to Their Prayers
Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their daughter on September 8, 2024. They announced Dua's arrival through a heartfelt social media post in November. They explained that 'Dua' means 'a Prayer,' symbolising that she is the answer to their prayers. The couple expressed their joy and gratitude with this announcement.
The anticipation for Kalki 2 remains high among fans eager for more after the first film's success. However, with Deepika prioritising family time with Dua, it seems they will have to wait longer for updates on the sequel's production schedule.
