However, the bond between the two unravels with time, turning into deep-rooted resentment. The teaser features intense moments, including Samuthirakani's character lashing out at Dulquer-physically assaulting him and throwing chairs-hinting at the psychological breakdown of their relationship.
The teaser opens with a dramatic reveal of a fictional film titled Saantha, claimed to be the first Tamil horror film within the film's narrative. Dulquer's character is leading this film project, further escalating the tension between the two leads.
Kaanta is jointly produced by Dulquer Salmaan's Wayfarer Films and Rana Daggubati's Spirit Media. Music for the film is composed by Jhanu Chanthar, promising a haunting and atmospheric score to match the film's emotional intensity.
Dulquer Salmaan was last seen in the critically and commercially successful Lucky Bhaskar in 2024. Kaantha is expected to showcase a darker, more dramatic turn in his acting journey, exploring the painful complexities of family, fame, and fractured relationships.
