Jigra OTT Release Update: Action-Packed Movie Streaming On THIS Platform Soon

Alia Bhatt steps into the action genre with her highly anticipated movie Jigra, which she co-produced alongside Dharma Productions. While the film received a positive response, its box office performance was disappointing. In Jigra, Alia plays Satya, a woman determined to free her younger brother from prison. After its theatrical release, the film is expected to make its OTT debut soon.

Jigra OTT Release Update:

According to reports from Binged, Jigra is slated to stream on Netflix starting December 6. However, the official release date has yet to be confirmed by the makers and the OTT platform.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Vasan Bala shared his thoughts on the film's unexpected box office underperformance. He admitted, "For me, it's always been a challenge to get the film released. But this time, it was certain that the film would come out, and in a big way. This is a first for me, and I'm not quite sure how to process it. What I do understand is that there's a certain responsibility in mainstream cinema to perform well at the box office."

He added, "The failure was unexpected because you don't aim for failure. This wasn't a film made with a stubborn mindset; I believed it was a straightforward and accessible film with universally relatable emotions."

In Jigra, alongside Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina also plays a lead role.

On the professional front, Alia is set to star in the spy-action thriller Alpha alongside Sharvari. She will also team up with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love & War, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor.
