Jaya Bachchan Seen Losing Cool As Fan Tries to Click Photo At Manoj Kumar’s Prayer Meet
At the prayer meet held on Sunday for late veteran actor Manoj Kumar, Jaya Bachchan was seen reacting sharply to a fan who attempted to take a photo with her. A video from the event has since gone viral on social media, drawing a mix of criticism and support for the veteran actress.
In the clip, Jaya Bachchan is seen speaking with a group of women when an elderly woman taps her on the shoulder. Surprised, Jaya turns around to find a man-believed to be accompanying the elderly woman-trying to take a picture of them. When the woman appears to extend her hand for a handshake, Jaya Bachchan pushes it aside and firmly reprimands the man for taking photos during such a solemn occasion.

The video has sparked a range of reactions online. Some viewers criticized Jaya Bachchan's response as impolite, while others defended her, noting that a prayer meet is not an appropriate setting for fan interactions or photo requests.
One user commented that while Jaya could have responded more politely, taking pictures at a funeral was not acceptable. Another remarked that people should respect the nature of the event and refrain from such behavior. Others fully supported her reaction, saying that those trying to take photos during a prayer meet should be asked to leave.
Manoj Kumar passed away early Friday morning in a Mumbai hospital due to heart-related issues. He was known for iconic films such as Shaheed, Upkar, Purab Aur Pachhim, Roti Kapda Aur Makan, and Kranti.
The prayer meet was attended by several members of the film industry, including Aamir Khan, Asha Parekh, Ramesh Sippy, Rakesh Roshan, Honey Irani, David Dhawan, Johny Lever, Jaaved Jaaferi, Subhash Ghai, Aruna Irani, and many others.
