Amid the controversy around Nayanthara's allegations on Dhanush over demanding Rs 10 crore for 3-second video, an old video of the Lady Superstar has surfaced online wherein she is seen thanking the Kolaveri Di hitmaker.

In the viral video from an award function, Nayanthara, in her winning speech, is heard saying: "Thank you Dhanush...I have to say sorry to Dhanush because he absoultely hated my performance in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. I will probably make it better next time."

The resurfaced clip comes just days after Nayanthara publicly criticized Dhanush in an open letter, accusing him of demanding ₹10 crores for a mere three-second video clip used in her documentary's trailer.

In her letter, she expressed disappointment, calling his actions "an all-time low." She wrote: "To demand ₹10 crores for mere seconds of footage is appalling and reflects poorly on your character. I wish you practiced the values you preach at audio launches. Clearly, you don't-not in my case or for my partner."

During the interview, actor Sivakarthikeyan mentioned how Nayanthara readily agreed to feature in the song without hesitation. Dhanush added:
"She didn't even ask for money. She said, 'You're my friend, and I won't take money.' She did the song for free."
