Is 'Baahubali's Katappa Playing PM Modi In His Biopic? Here's The Truth
Recent reports from South India have stirred speculation about veteran Tamil actor Sathyaraj, famed for his role as Katappa in SS Rajamouli's blockbuster "Baahubali," potentially portraying Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an upcoming biopic.
This surprising news has raised eyebrows, particularly given Sathyaraj's known adherence to the ideologies of Periyar. In the past, he has publicly stated his refusal to participate in any film that promotes anti-Periyarist beliefs.

Addressing the recent rumors, Sathyaraj spoke out during an interview with Minnambalam, a Tamil website, categorically denying any involvement in portraying PM Modi. He stated that he had not been approached for such a role and expressed astonishment at the traction these rumors gained on social media.
Expressing frustration with the proliferation of baseless information, Sathyaraj highlighted the detrimental impact of social media as a platform for spreading unfounded rumors. He firmly stated, "The news that I am acting in the Prime Minister Modi biopic is news even to me. Nobody has approached me to play PM Modi in the film. People spread random news on social media."
Sathyaraj's statement underscores his unwavering commitment to his principles and values amidst the swirl of speculation.
