Speculation surrounding Agni Dev Chopra, son of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra and noted film critic Anupama Chopra, participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been firmly put to rest after the cricketer issued a clear denial.

A section of social media users dragged Anupama into the controversy, linking the rumours to her recent critical review of the film Dhurandhar, which she later took down following intense backlash. Agni Dev Chopra, born in Detroit and a holder of a US passport, has been carving out a strong cricketing identity independent of his family's prominence in Indian cinema.
