Hridayapoorvam OTT Release Date: Mohanlal's Malayalam Flick To Be Streamed On This Platform

Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam has successfully completed its first week run in theatres. The collection of the movie is not up to the mark.

Released on August 28, Mohanlal-starrer earned around Rs 2 crore at the India box office on Wednesday.The movie has made a business of Rs 18.10 crore at the domestic box office.

The movie has clashed with Naslen's Lokah: Chapter 1 which, in the same period, has made Rs 46.35 crore. On Wednesday alone, it earned Rs 7.1 crore.

Hridayapoorvam OTT Release

Even as the movie is doing a decent collection, the digital rights of Mohanlal-starrer have been acquired by a leading platform. Well, Jio Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights of the romantic drama. It is interesting to note that Hotstar had earlier bagged Mohanlal's Empuraan and Thudarum.

While Prithviraj Sukumaran-directed Empuraan was bagged for Rs 70 crore, Thudarum was bought for Rs 20 crore. However, the amount paid for Hridayapoorvam has not been revealed.

As far as the release date is concerned, The movie is expected to be out on September 25 or 26. A formal announcement is expected to be out next week.

The movie, directed by Sathyan Anthikad, has Malavika Mohanan playing the female lead. Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan are part of the cast.

Akhil Sathyan has written the screenplay while Sony TP has penned the dialogues. The movie is funded by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner. The movie has Justin Prabhakaran's music, K Rajagopal's editing and Anu Moothedath's cinematography.

The story of the movie revolves around Mohanlal as Sandeep Balakrishnan. The heart of Haritha's father is donated to Sandeep, who owns a cloud kitchen. He is not emotional about the transplant but what happens when he attends her engagement forms the interesting part of the story.
