After the massive success of Thudarum, Mohanlal is returning with his latest movie Hridayapoorvam. He has collaborated with Sathyan Anthikad with whom Lalettan has collaborated on 20 movies in four decades.

The movie has Malavika Mohanan has playing the female lead. Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, and Janardhanan are part of the cast.

Akhil Sathyan has written the screenplay while Sony TP has penned the dialogues. The movie is funded by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner. The movie has Justin Prabhakaran's music, K Rajagopal's editing and Anu Moothedath's cinematography.

The story of the movie is revolves around Sandeep, a heart-transplant survivor. It is about him attending his donor's daughter Haritha's, engagement and how an unplanned stay draws him closer to the family. Eventually, he falls in love with Haritha.

Sathyan Anthikad's Hridayapoorvam is a gentle reminder of why his films continue to hold a special place in Malayalam cinema. The narrative thrives on simplicity, offering a story that is rooted in warmth, humour, and human connection rather than exaggerated melodrama. At its core is Sandeep Balakrishnan (Mohanlal), a man who undergoes a heart transplant and finds his life unexpectedly intertwined with the family of the donor.
