Multilingual actress Nayanthara's allegations that Dhanush demanded Rs 10-crore for 3-second footage from 2017 movie Naanum Rowdy in her documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale has become a major news in the South Indian film industry.

While Dhanush has refused to comment on the issue, several actresses including Shruti Haasan and Anupama Parameshwaran have extended their support to Nayan by liking her post, an open letter to the Kolaveri hitmaker. Even respective fans have put their weight behind their icons.

Amid all this drama, one question that has come to mind is - how much did Netflix Pay for the actress for her documentary.

Well, the neither of the parties have revealed the amount, but unconfirmed reports on internet claim that it is Rs 25 crore. Yes, this is one of the biggest ever deal that she has signed in her two-decade career in the film industry.

However, some rumours mongers are claiming that she has been paid Rs 80-100 crore. Nonetheless, there is no official confirmation on the issue.

Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale is a documentary film around Nayan's journey in the film industry. Known as the Lady Superstar, the movie is directed by Amith Krishnan. Apart from Nayan, her husband and filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, her mother Omana Kurian and brother Lenu Kurian are part of the 82-minute documentary.

Radhikaa Sarathkumar, Nagarjuna, Taapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vijay Sethupathi and Parvathy Thiruvothu are part of the series.

The controversy broke out after Nayanthara lashed out at Dhanush for refusing to grant permission to use footage from Naanum Rowdy.
