Hardik Pandya Calls Out Paps for Crossing Line With Mahieka Sharma Photos

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has publicly criticised intrusive paparazzi behaviour after photographs of his girlfriend Mahieka Sharma were taken from what he described as an inappropriate angle at a Bandra restaurant staircase. The all-rounder, who is working towards an India comeback after an injury layoff since September, shared a strongly worded note on Instagram expressing his frustration. He said the incident crossed basic boundaries and turned a private moment into needless spectacle.

Hardik wrote that while he understands the attention that comes with public life, certain limits should not be crossed. He said Mahieka was simply walking down a staircase when photographers chose to capture her from an angle "no woman deserves to be photographed from." He added that a casual moment was turned into cheap sensationalism, something he could not ignore.

Calls for Respect and Dignity

In his message, Hardik said the issue was not about headlines or publicity but about respect. He urged photographers to be mindful and remember that dignity should never be compromised in the chase for viral images. He pointed out that he has always been polite and cooperative with the media but requested that they draw a line when it comes to women's privacy.

Hardik reminded paparazzi that not every moment needs to be recorded and not every angle is worth capturing. He appealed for sensitivity, saying that everyone deserves boundaries, regardless of their public status.

Hardik and Mahieka: A Relationship in the Spotlight

Hardik confirmed his relationship with model Mahieka Sharma in October this year after weeks of speculation. He posted images of the two together, including a poolside picture, and referred to her as his "11:11 wish," signalling her importance in his life.

Since then, Hardik has occasionally shared glimpses of their life with his son Agastya. In one post titled "My Big 3," he highlighted cricket, Agastya and Mahieka as the three pillars of his world. The pictures included moments from a pooja, workouts and candid family interactions.

Before his relationship with Mahieka, Hardik was once linked to UK singer Jasmin Walia, who was spotted supporting him from the stands during an IPL match and later seen on the Mumbai Indians team bus. Reports later noted that they unfollowed each other on social media.

Hardik's marriage to Nataša ended last year, but the two continue to co-parent Agastya and remain committed to maintaining a stable environment for him.
