'Hanu Man' Box Office Collection: Not Just In Andhra, Teja Sajja's Film Performs Well In Hindi Belt

Multilingual 'Hanu Man' has emerged victorious as the movie performed well at the worldwide box office.

Teja Sajja and Amritha Aiyer's film has done well not just in its home territory of Andhra and Telangana, but also in the Hindi belt. In the opening weekend, it has minted Rs 23.7 crore from the two Telugu-speaking states with the Nizam region alone contributing Rs 11.05 crore. The distributors' share is said to be Rs 15.43 crore.

From the Hindi belt, the much-hyped film has earned Rs 15.8 crore with distributors' share of Rs 6.72 crore. It has been received well by the viewers in Karnataka where it has made 4.9 crore with distributors' share of Rs 2.45 crore.

Among the overseas centres, 'Hanu Man' had come out with flying colours in North America where it has made Rs 20.6 crore with a distributors' share of Rs 10.30 crore. From the rest of the world, it has collected Rs 7 crore with distributors' share of Rs 3 crore.

The worldwide collection of 'Hanu Man' in the three-day first weekend stands at Rs 72 crore with distributors' share of Rs 37.9 crore. It is considered to be an extraordinary business as the movie does not have big names in the lead roles.

What has turned out to be a boon for the movie is the fact that the nation is gripped with Ayodhya Ram Temple fervour.

The movie, which has been dubbed into Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages, is directed by Prasanth Varma. 'Hanu Man' has Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vinay Rai, Raj Deepak Shetty and others in the cast.

It is interesting to note that the movie has managed to do well at the box office despite clashing with the likes of biggies such as 'Guntur Kaaram', 'Captain Miller' and 'Saindhav'.
