Grammy Drama: Why Did Award-Winning Rapper Killer Mike Face Police Arrest Backstage?

Rapper Killer Mike, who added three Grammy Awards to his kitty for his worldwide liked and famous rap music, was arrested by the police on Sunday, said an eye witness. When asked about Killer Mike's arrest, the Los Angeles police offered no statement. However, two other officials who entertain the press said they have no information.

A video that is doing round the internet shows police escorting Killer Mike with his hands cuffed. Reports said that Mike was arrested for an unspecified misdemeanor charge that has no relation with the Grammy Awards.

Earlier the day, Killer Mike and his collaborators secured Grammy awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance with "Scientists & Engineers," as well as Best Rap Album for "Michael."

Michael Render, known by his stage name Killer Mike, is recognized not only for his musical achievements but also for his active involvement in social activism, particularly addressing issues such as racism and police brutality.

When asked about Killer Mike's arrest, his manager and publicists shared no comment with the media.

Upon receiving his awards, the 48-year-old expressed, "This is for all the people who think you're too old to rap... we keep hip-hop alive. Never ever stop doing what you do."

Killer Mike, known for his outspoken stance on issues affecting black Americans, including police brutality and racism, conveyed a powerful message with his wins.

The Grammy Awards saw Taylor Swift taking center stage, making history with her fourth win for Best Album.

India's Shankar Mahadevan also won an award for Best Global Music Album at the 66th Grammy Awards which were held in Los Angeles. Taking it to Twitter, the organizers of Grammy Awards shared a picture of Shankar Mahadevan and Ganesh Rajagopalan with the award and captioned the post: "Congrats Best Global Music Album winner - 'This Moment' Shakti. #GRAMMYs".
