Govinda Health Update: Actor's Condition Is Stable After Hospitalisation

A day after being spotted at the Breach Candy Hospital visiting legendary actor Dharmendra, veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was taken to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday.

He was rushed to the hospital after reportedly losing consciousness. However, his condition is stable.

His lawyer, Lalit Bindal, told India Todat that Govinda had been feeling disoriented and was taken to the emergency department. While all medical tests have been completed, doctors are awaiting neuro consultation results. Govinda is currently in stable condition.

Govinda's hospitalisation occurred just a day after he visited fellow actor Dharmendra, who is recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. He was spotted outside the hospital, leaving in a car.

It may be recalled that Govinda was admitted to hospital last year after he sustained a bullet wound to his knee due to an accidental discharge of his licensed revolver while preparing for a trip to Kolkata. However, the former Congress leader was discharged three days later and recounted the ordeal to the media, describing the shock and immediate response.

Govinda, who is now associated with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, was accompanied by his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja during both hospital visits. He expressed gratitude to fans and media with folded hands, sharing details of the accident and his recovery.

"I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning. Aur uss time par vo giri aur chal padi (and it just fell and went off). I was shocked by what happened and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. Then I made a video and spoke to the doctor and got admitted," Hindustan Times quoted him as saying.
