'GOAT' 2nd Day Box Office Collection: Vijay's Film Holds Strong In Chennai, Coimbatore; Bengaluru Steady
After getting a flying start, Vijay's latest movie 'The Greatest of All Time' has managed to retain the momentum on its second day by doing impressive business at the Tamil Nadu box office.
'GOAT' Two Day Collection At Tamil Nadu Box Office
The Tamil version of the film had a solid day 2 start with an overall 60.38% occupancy across theatres. The morning shows saw a decent turnout with 45.99% occupancy, but as the day progressed, the crowds grew larger. The excitement was palpable in Tamil Nadu's capital, Chennai. The city recorded a whopping 88.75% overall occupancy, with night shows nearing full capacity at 98%. Fans thronged the theatres, chanting Thalapathy's name and celebrating the superstar's performance in his latest flick. Coimbatore and Madurai followed suit, showing strong numbers with 79.75% and 63.75% occupancy, respectively.
However, it was the quaint city of Trichy that stole the spotlight, recording the highest occupancy at 94.50%. Meanwhile, Pondicherry's theatres were almost entirely full, with a staggering 93.75% overall occupancy.

'GOAT' At North Indian Market
The Hindi version, released under the same title, did not see the same fervour as its Tamil counterpart. The Hindi-speaking regions recorded a modest 12.43% overall occupancy. Morning shows were sparse, with just 7.20% occupancy. However, the numbers climbed steadily through the day, with night shows peaking at 20.56%. Despite this, the Hindi version managed to pull in Rs 1.5 crore on its second day, bringing its two-day total to Rs 3.35 crore.
'GOAT' Telugu Version - How Vijay's Film Did In Andhra and Telangana?
The Telugu version, though showing better numbers than the Hindi release, had a slower performance compared to the Tamil version. It recorded an overall 19.53% occupancy on Friday. Morning shows started with 16.01% occupancy and gradually improved, with night shows reaching 24.61%. The Telugu version earned Rs 1.25 crore on Day 2, bringing its total collection to Rs 4.25 crore over two days.
The regional differences were stark. Cities like Mumbai (24.75%) and Bengaluru (34.25%) showed lukewarm responses compared to Tamil Nadu's cities. However, the movie remained a force to be reckoned with in the Southern states, with regional centres like Dindigul and Salem recording 91.25% and 67.25% overall occupancy, respectively.
When all versions were tallied, 'The Greatest of All Time' amassed a whopping Rs 68.75 crore at the domestic box office by the end of Day 2. The success of the film, particularly in Tamil-speaking regions, highlighted the star power of Thalapathy and the unwavering support of his fans.
As the weekend continued, theatres braced for even larger crowds. The movie had only just begun its box office journey, and it seemed poised to conquer it. The verdict was clear: Thalapathy truly is the G.O.A.T.
