Gangers OTT Release Update: Who Has Acquired Digital Rights Of Vadivelu-Starrer?

Sundar C and Vadivelu-starrer Gangers has opened to fairly positive reviews from critics and fans. The Tamil film has done a decent collection at the Tamil Nadu box office. '

Sundar C is back with his latest movie Gangers which has seen the light of the day on Thursday. He himself has played the lead along with Vadivelu.

Apart from Sundar C and Vadivelu, the movie has Catherine Tresa, Vani Bhojan, Bagavathi Perumal, Hareesh Peradi, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, Deepa Shankar, Ilavarasu, John Vijay, Mime Gopi and others are in the cast. The movie has E. Krishnasamy's cinematography, Praveen Antony's editing and C. Sathya's music.

The story kicks off with a schoolgirl's disappearance part of a larger mystery prompting an undercover cop (Sundar C) to investigate. Catherine Tresa's character aids the mission, while Vadivelu provides the comic relief as a lovelorn rival.

It is a Sundar C style heist film, set in a small town, infused with a plethora of comic characters. The racy screenplay and gripping action blocks Vadivelu in full form in various get ups with a full on engaging second half and nail biting, laugh-riot pre-climax portion.

Sundar C proves that he is in good form, though the film is technically functional and doesn't have great names on board but for the lead duo, he is able to steer the ship successfully until the end. Audiences who like his comedy entertainers will lap this up!

Gangers OTT Release

Now, all eyes are on its OTT release. As per the latest reports, the OTT rights of the movie has been acquired by Amazon Prime. However, the price paid for the rights have not been revealed yet.

The OTT platform is yet to announce the release date of Gangers. However, the likely date of its release date is May 23.

It has to be noted that the OTT rights of Sundar C's earlier movie Aranmanai 4 was acquired by Jio Hotstar.
