Game Changer On TV: Ram Charan's Movie Leaked on Local Channel, Outraged Over Illegal TV Broadcast

Just days after the theatrical release of Ram Charan's "Game Changer," a pirated copy of the film surfaced, being broadcasted on a local television channel. This piracy issue has sparked outrage, particularly from the film's producer, Sreenivas Kumar, known as SKN. He has called for immediate and strict measures to combat such illegal activities. The incident came to light when screenshots of the film being shown on local cable channels and buses started circulating online, indicating the gravity of the piracy problem facing the industry.

SKN expressed his dismay and concern over the situation on his X account. He highlighted the enormous effort and dedication behind cinema, stating, "Cinema is not just about the Hero, director or producers – it's the result of 3-4 years of hard work, dedication and the dreams of thousands of people." He emphasized the negative impact of piracy on distributors and exhibitors, whose livelihoods heavily rely on the success of movies. SKN's call to action underscores the need for unity within the industry and governmental intervention to safeguard the future of cinema.

Rallying Cry for Industry Support

SKN's plea, "Let's all unite and stand firm to protect and ensure a better future for cinema," resonates as a rallying cry for industry stakeholders. He stresses the importance of collective action to address the piracy issue, which not only diminishes the hard work of those involved in filmmaking but also threatens the industry's economic viability. By using the hashtag Save the Cinema, SKN is sparking a movement aimed at mobilizing support against piracy, urging both the government and the public to recognize and act upon this growing threat.

"Game Changer," a political thriller featuring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani, opened to mixed-to-positive reviews and achieved significant box office success, crossing ₹100 crores in India. However, the piracy issue has cast a shadow over its achievements, with an HD print and key plot points being leaked online even before its official release. This situation has led to a complaint being filed by the film's producer, Dil Raju, against the pirates who reportedly sought to extort money prior to the leak.
