Game Changer Advance Booking: Tickets Selling Begins With A Bang In Bengaluru, Andhra

The advance booking of tickets for Ram Char an and Kiara Advani's latest movie Game Changer has commenced on Tuesday and early trends indicate that it has met with good response.

Record Sales in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh

Game Changer

In Bengaluru alone, 16.54 lakh tickets have been sold, while Andhra Pradesh has recorded sales of 1.83 lakh tickets. The movie, releasing in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, has already amassed Rs 16.71 lakh from the Telugu version alone.

Tamil Nadu Release Faces Minor Hurdle

In Tamil Nadu, the film has been hit by a trouble as Lyca Productions approached the Tamil Producers Council to halt its release. The production house reportedly wants director Shankar to complete its long-delayed Indian 3 before Ram Charan's flick. However, industry insiders are confident of the movie to have a smooth release.

Promising Overseas Pre-Sales

In North America, Game Changer is making waves, with advance bookings reaching $575,000 for its US premieres. Over 20,000 tickets have been sold across 1,409 shows at 468 locations, indicating a promising start for its international run.

Ticket Price Hikes and Benefit Shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

The Andhra Pradesh government has given a green signal for a hike in ticket prices and special benefit shows for the movie. However, Telangana's government is yet to decide on these requests. Producer Dil Raju revealed that he has sought permission from the Telangana government but is still awaiting a response.

This delay comes in the wake of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao's recent decision to disallow benefit shows and ticket price hikes following the tragic Sandhya Theater stampede during Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 premiere on December 4. The outcome of this request will be closely watched.

Shankar's Return and Future Plans

It is an important movie to director Shankar as his previous movie Indian 2 with Kamal Haasan had turned out to be a dud at the box office. He had come under severe criticism and he is now looking to bounce back with his lastest flick.
