From Childhood Friends To Separate Paths: GV Prakash-Saindhavi File For Divorce In Chennai Court
Popular Tamil music composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar and playback singer Saindhavi have officially initiated divorce proceedings. They filed for mutual divorce at the Chennai Family Welfare Court on Monday.
They were childhood friends who took their friendship to the next level in 2013 by tying the knot. They have a daughter named Anvi.

A Relationship That Faded Over Time
As per the reports, they have been living separately for the last few years due to irreconcilable differences. Last year, they announced on their social media account that they were parting ways.
On Monday, they arrive at the first additional family court in Chennai. They appeared before Judge Selva Sundari and filed and submitted their divorce petition. Both confirmed their mutual decision to part ways and sought legal approval for the separation. The court has now scheduled further hearings on the matter.
A Respectful and Amicable Split
Despite the legal process, the couple displayed mutual respect and understanding, even leaving the court together in the same car. Their mature handling of the situation suggests that while their personal lives are taking different paths, there is no animosity between them.
GV Prakash, known for composing music for acclaimed films like Asuran and Soorarai Pottru, has also built a successful acting career. Meanwhile, Saindhavi remains a well-regarded playback singer in Tamil cinema. Though their marriage has come to an end, fans are hopeful that their professional collaborations in the music industry will continue.
