Farah Khan Reveals She Became A Mother To Triplets At 43 After IVF

Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently got candid about motherhood, her IVF journey and life with husband Shirish Kunder during her appearance on Shekhar Suman's YouTube chat show Shekhar Tonite.

'It Took Me 4-5 Years To Lose My Baby Weight'

Farah admitted she often feels amazed when she sees actresses getting back in shape so quickly after giving birth.

"I get so jealous when I see actresses and celebrities lose all their baby weight within just two months. It took me almost four to five years to get rid of mine," she said with a laugh.

Farah On Becoming A Mother To Triplets At 43

Farah became a mother to triplets at the age of 43 after undergoing IVF. While she always hoped to have a child, she never expected to welcome three babies at once.
"I was prepared for one baby, not three. I was 42 when I started IVF and 43 when I gave birth. By then, I had already crossed the age people usually consider ideal for pregnancy," she shared.

She added that her children completely changed her life for the better. After becoming parents, Farah and Shirish moved into a bigger home, something she believes was one of the many blessings that came with welcoming their children.

Farah Shares A Funny Story About Shirish And Son Czar

Farah also spoke about her husband, filmmaker Shirish Kunder, and shared a hilarious anecdote about him and their son, Czar.

"Shirish and Czar are now the same height. Sometimes, when someone walks into the bedroom at night, I can't tell who it is. It's only when the person hugs me that I realise it's my son," she joked.

'Our Home Cannot Function Without Shirish'

Praising her husband, Farah said she values him even more today for the role he plays as a father and the person who keeps the household running.

"I can't imagine life without him. I always joke that if he leaves with the kids, who will fix my Wi-Fi? Our home simply doesn't function without Shirish," she said.

She also credited Shirish for guiding their children's academic journey.

"People often ask me who our education counsellor was because all our children received early admissions to top universities. I tell them we never had one their father was their counsellor," Farah revealed.
