Empuraan Box Office Collection: Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's L2: Empuraan has made its digital debut after doing a rocking business at the box office.

Despite facing controversies upon release, the multilingual movie, which was released on March 27, has come out with flying colours. Especially in its home territory, Mohanlal-starrer has made a record collection in its lifetime.

As per the trade tracker Sacnilk, the movie has earned Rs 87.56 crore in its lifetime. On its release day, the movie had minted Rs 14 crore and made over Rs 44 crore in its first weekend in its stronghold.

Empuraan Box Office Collection: State Wise Break Up

Interestingly, its business in Karnataka is higher than Tamil Nadu and Andhra. After raking in Rs 4 crore on its first day, the film made a lifetime collection of Rs 12.46 crore in Karnataka which is more or less equvalent to the business made by Rajinikanth's movie in this region.

In Andhra, it earned Rs 4.22 crore, Rs 9.63 crore in Tamil Nadu and Rs 9.36 crore in the rest of India. The total collection made by the movie, which is a sequel to Lucifer, in India stands at Rs 123.25 crore. The net collection of the film stands at Rs 105.25 crore.

The movie saw the light of the day in Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Hindi and Telugu languages. The Malayalam version contributed Rs 96.01 crore. The Tamil version collected Rs 3.95 crore, Rs 2.6 crore from the Telugu version, Rs 2.42 crore from the Hindi version and Rs 27 lakh from the Kannada version.

Empuraan Overseas Box Office

The mega-budget movie had a big release in the overseas market from where it has collected Rs 142.25 crore, higher than what it earned in India.

The combined lifetime worldwide collection of Empuraan is estimated to be at Rs 265.5 crore.
