The film, as per Sacnlik, recorded an impressive 59.36% overall Malayalam occupancy on its opening day, with strong footfall across all showtimes. The morning shows had 63.32%. However, the occupancy rates dropped to 54.32% for matiness shows while increased to 60.43% for evening shows.

Regional Breakdown: Kerala Dominates, Other Markets Show Promise

Empuraan witnessed phenomenal occupancy in Kerala, with major centers reporting near-full to packed houses. In its home territory, the Malayalam movie enjoyed a fantastic response in Kochi, Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kollam and Alappuzha,

Outside Kerala, the film saw moderate to decent occupancy, with Bengaluru (39.33%) and Chennai (42%) leading among non-Malayalam markets. Metros like Mumbai (22.67%), NCR (22%), and Hyderabad (19.33%) showed promising starts for the Malayalam film.

L2: Empuraan has already etched its name in history by becoming the first Malayalam film to sell 1 million advance tickets on BookMyShow. As per the trade trackers, the Malayalam film has got a gigantic response in Kerala.

Early estimates indicate that Empuraan has raked in a staggering ₹16.07 crore on its opening day in India. Kerala alone contributed over ₹10 crore, underlining the film's dominance in its home state.
