Elvish Yadav Gets Death Threat, Rs 10 Crore Extortion Demand Via WhatsApp

Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has reportedly received an extortion threat demanding Rs 10 crore. According to police sources, the threat was sent through a foreign WhatsApp number, creating concern over the safety of the social media influencer and his family.

Following the complaint, an FIR has been registered at Sector 56 police station against an unknown person under relevant legal sections.

Threat Message Sent Through WhatsApp

According to the complaint filed by Elvish Yadav, he received a WhatsApp call from an overseas number on May 5. Since he could not answer the call, a message was later sent from the same number.

The message allegedly demanded Rs 10 crore and warned that both Elvish Yadav and his father would be shot if the money was not paid within two days.

Police sources said the sender identified himself as Randeep Malik and claimed to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

The same threatening message was reportedly sent to Elvish Yadav's father as well.

FIR Registered At Sector 56 Police Station

After receiving the threats, Elvish Yadav approached the police and informed officials about the matter. Based on his complaint, the Sector 56 police station registered an FIR against an unidentified person. Police have started investigating the origin of the WhatsApp number and the identity of the sender.

Officials are also examining whether the threat is directly connected to organised criminal networks or if it was sent to create fear and panic.

Previous Firing Incident At Elvish Yadav's House

This is not the first security-related incident involving Elvish Yadav.

In August 2025, a firing incident was reported outside his residence. According to reports, unidentified attackers arrived on three motorcycles and allegedly fired around two dozen rounds near his house.

Following the incident, police arrested five people and registered a case under several legal sections. Reports at the time claimed that responsibility for the attack was taken by the Bhaau gang, which is believed to operate from abroad.
The earlier attack had already raised concerns regarding the YouTuber's security arrangements.

Who Is Elvish Yadav?

Elvish Yadav is one of India's most popular digital creators and social media influencers. He became widely famous after winning Bigg Boss OTT 2 in 2023 as a wild card contestant.

Known for his Haryanvi-style comedy videos, vlogs and relatable content, Elvish has built a massive online fan following over the years.

He currently has millions of followers across platforms, including Instagram and YouTube, where his videos regularly attract large audiences.

Police Investigation Underway

Police officials have not yet revealed detailed findings from the investigation but are reportedly tracking the foreign WhatsApp number used to send the threat.
Authorities are also expected to review the possibility of providing additional security if required.

The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns around threats and extortion attempts targeting celebrities, influencers and public personalities in India.
