'Dunki' 2-Day Box Office Collection: Business Of SRK's Film Witnesses A Drop

The collection of 'Dunki' has witnessed a drop on its second day at the India box office. The movie has clashed with Prabhas' 'Salaar' which is off to a good start in the Hindi belt.

The early estimation indicates that 'Dunki' has earned in the range of Rs 19 to Rs 21 crore. On the opening day, it has made a business of Rs 28 crore. It means the business had dropped about 25 per cent on Friday.

On the second day, the leading cinema chains, namely PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis, collectively earned approximately Rs. 11.75 crore net, constituting 56 per cent of the overall box office earnings of King Khan's film. With the onset of competition from 'Salaar' today, the trajectory of its performance in the coming days will determine its potential success.

'Dunki', a comedy-drama, revolves around the concept of an illegal immigration method known as 'donkey flight.' In addition to Shah Rukh Khan, the film boasts a stellar cast including Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. Billed as a tale encompassing friendships, borders, homesickness, and love, 'Dunki' is directed based on a screenplay co-authored by Rajkumar, Abhijaat Joshi, and Kanika Dhillon.
