Dude 1st Day Box Office Collection: Pradeep Ranganathan's Film Opens Well In Tamil Nadu, Andhra

Pradeep Ranganathan's much-awaited film Dude has taken a flying start at the box office, registering impressive numbers across Tamil and Telugu versions on Day 1 (October 17, 2025). Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film - a bilingual entertainer - opened to solid pre-release hype and largely positive word of mouth, resulting in strong occupancies across multiple states.

Tamil Version Dominates in Home State

The Tamil version recorded an overall 48.85% occupancy across India, with exceptionally strong turnout in Tamil Nadu's key centres. Chennai led the pack with an impressive 61.5% overall occupancy, peaking at 84% during night shows. Trichy and Pondicherry also saw excellent numbers, at 65.75% and 62.25% respectively.

Coimbatore and Madurai registered steady performance through the day, while tier-2 regions like Vellore, Salem, and Dindigul showed encouraging trends, indicating strong word of mouth. Telugu Version Steady in Andhra & Telangana

The Telugu version, released simultaneously across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, registered an overall 49.61% occupancy. Dude (Telugu) performed exceptionally well in coastal Andhra, with Vizag leading at a remarkable 67% overall occupancy. Guntur (56.5%), Warangal (56%), and Vijayawada (48.75%) also reported strong footfall through the day.

In Telangana, Hyderabad clocked 47% overall with houseful evening and night shows in several multiplexes. Smaller towns like Karimnagar and Nizamabad witnessed moderate to low turnout, but the trend is expected to improve over the weekend.

The Telugu version also performed commendably in Karnataka, where bilingual audiences helped sustain occupancy levels of 43.25% in Bengaluru.

According to early estimates, Dude has earned around ₹10 crore net across India (all languages combined) on its opening day.
