Dua Lipa Thrills Fans In Mumbai Concert, Jigs To SRK's 'Woh Ladki Jo' In Unexpected Mashup | WATCH

After four years, singer Dua Lipa returned to perform for her Indian audience, delivering a mesmerising show with her high-energy dance numbers and heartfelt solos.

The 29-year-old, currently on her 'Radical Optimism Tour', played an almost two-hour non-stop set at the MMRDA Grounds in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai, on November 30.

Lipa last performed in the city in 2019 at the OnePlus Music Festival, sharing the stage with Katy Perry for a sensational double act.

The English-Albanian artist graced the stage in a white corseted one-piece with a mesh overlay, combining sultry dance moves and dramatic hair flips that had the audience cheering.

She opened her set with her hit 'Training Season' and followed it with crowd favourites such as 'New Rules', 'Be The One', 'Dance The Night' (Barbie, 2023), 'One Kiss', and 'Break My Heart', among others.

Clearly delighted to be back on stage, she exclaimed, "I love you Mumbai... I am blown away by all this energy. We are going to have a lot of fun. Tonight is about us; it is about me and you and us living in the moment."

During her performance of 'Levitating', Lipa delighted fans with an unexpected twist by including the trending mashup of the track with 'Woh Ladki Jo' from the Bollywood film 'Baadshah' (1999), which stars Shah Rukh Khan and Twinkle Khanna.

Breaking from her choreography, she even danced briefly to the iconic Indian tune, sending the arena into a frenzy. Lipa, who previously met Shah Rukh Khan during her 2019 visit to India, is familiar with Bollywood and has expressed her admiration for the actor, calling him her favourite.

In a past interview, Lipa shared her thoughts on the mashup, saying she was "blown away" by it and describing it as "amazing."

After feigning the end of her set, Lipa returned to the stage amidst chants of her name and performed 'Physical', later concluding the show with 'Houdini', a track from her latest album that inspired her current tour.

Calling it "a special night," Lipa expressed her deep connection to India, saying, "I am so overwhelmed by the turnout. Thank you so much for being here." She added, "I have spent a fair bit of time in India, travelling and coming here for work; to see and visit. I am so taken back by the culture, the energy, the people, that I keep coming back."

Reflecting on her earlier Mumbai performance, she said, "The last time I came and did a show in Mumbai was 2019, and I wish I had the chance to keep coming back, but obviously, the world was shifting and changing. And I want to thank you for your patience, support, and love; for having me back and for showing up for me like this."

Lipa shared that she had begun 2024 with a private visit to India alongside her parents, Anesa and Dukagjin Lipa, and her siblings, Rina and Gjin. The family explored Jaipur, Rajasthan, taking in local sights, engaging with the community, and enjoying a wildlife safari.

As a final surprise for her Mumbai fans, Lipa performed 'Cold Heart', her popular collaboration with Elton John. The song is a mashup of four of John's classics: 'Sacrifice' (1990), 'Rocket Man' (1972), 'Kiss the Bride' (1983), and 'Where's the Shoorah?' (1976).

Lipa previously performed the track with John at London's Royal Albert Hall during a special show in October.
