Drishyam 3 OTT Release Update: When Will Mohanlal's Malayalam Film Be Released Online?

Almost three weeks after its grand release, Drishyam 3 continues to hold its ground at the box office. Yes, the collections have cooled off a bit after that insane opening weekend, but Mohanlal's crime thriller is still pulling families and fans into theatres.

According to Sacnilk, the film minted around Rs 40 lakhs net in India on its 20th day. That's about a 20 percent drop from the Rs 50 lakhs it made the previous day, but honestly? Nothing to sneeze at. The worldwide gross has now crossed a staggering Rs 236.11 crore.

Breaking that down: India alone has contributed Rs 107.33 crore net so far, while the domestic gross (that's with taxes and all) stands at Rs 124.51 crore. Overseas, the film added another Rs 5 lakhs on Day 20, taking the international total to Rs 111.60 crore.

Unsurprisingly, the Malayalam version is doing all the heavy lifting. Out of Tuesday's Rs 40 lakhs, a whopping Rs 39 lakhs came from the original language version. The Telugu dub added just Rs 1 lakh. The film played across 698 shows on Day 20, with the Malayalam version recording an overall occupancy of 11.15 percent.

Kerala continues to be the beating heart of this box office run. The state alone contributed Rs 43 lakhs gross out of the day's total gross collection of Rs 46 lakhs. That's pretty much the entire country right there.

So when is Drishyam 3 coming to OTT?

Now for what everyone's really waiting for. If you're not someone who enjoys fighting for popcorn in a crowded theatre, here's the good news. According to multiple reports, Drishyam 3 is expected to start streaming on Amazon Prime Video in the last week of June.

And yes, it's almost certainly Prime Video. Both the earlier Drishyam films are already there, and it's hard to imagine the third one going anywhere else.
