Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal has confirmed that Drishyam 3 is underway. During an interview with Galatta, he shared, "We are currently working on bringing Drishyam 3 to life." This announcement follows director Jeethu Joseph's earlier comments about contemplating a third part, though he was uncertain about its timing.
The Drishyam series began in 2013 with Mohanlal portraying George Kutty. It has significantly impacted Indian cinema. "After Drishyam 2, audiences began watching more Malayalam films. It's a movie that gave Malayalam cinema a pan-Indian reach," he remarked.
