Diljit Dosanjh Gets Support From Singer Jasbir Jassi Amid Controversy For Signing Hania Aamir In Sardaar Ji 3
Actor Diljit Dosanjh is facing controversy due to the inclusion of Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in his film 'Sardaar Ji 3'. Amidst this, Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has shared his perspective on the matter. Jassi remarked, "Protesting just because a Pakistani artist is in the film is considered patriotism. I appreciate your patriotism, but do you know that 80% of our songs are Pakistani?"
Jasbir Jassi gained fame with his 1998 album 'Dil Le Gayi Kudi Gujarat'. He further stated, "If you want to ban, then delete all Pakistani songs from YouTube and Spotify. If banning is necessary, then do it for everyone; don't just target one artist." His comments highlight the complexity of cultural exchanges between India and Pakistan.

Association's Demands
The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has expressed its concerns by writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They objected to Diljit's decision to cast a Pakistani actress in light of recent events where 26 Indians died in Pahalgam. The association has made several demands regarding Diljit.
AICWA insists that all of Diljit's social media accounts be suspended in India. They also want his songs and films removed from platforms like YouTube, Spotify, JioSaavn, and OTT services. Furthermore, they demand a permanent ban on his live shows and public events.
Future Implications
AICWA has appealed to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) not to certify any future films featuring Diljit. The association has officially banned him from the Indian film industry. They have warned that anyone collaborating with him will face legal action.
Additionally, AICWA demands an investigation into the funding of 'Sardaar Ji 3' and seeks a nationwide ban on the film. Their stance reflects growing tensions over cross-border collaborations in entertainment.
