Did Somy Ali Invite Lawrence Bishnoi For A Zoom Chat? Here's What We Know

Former Bollywood actress and women's rights activist Somy Ali, who once dated Salman Khan in the 1990s, has extended an invitation to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi for a Zoom call.

Currently incarcerated at Sabarmati Central Jail, Bishnoi has made headlines recently, and Ali, based in the U.S., decided to engage with him through social media.

In her Instagram post on October 17, Somy shared a photo of Bishnoi and wrote a direct message to him. She humorously acknowledged that she had seen reports of him conducting Zoom calls from jail and expressed her desire to discuss a few matters with him. "Namaste, Lawrence bhai," she wrote, "I've heard and seen that you do Zoom calls even from jail, so I want to know how that can be arranged. Rajasthan is my favourite place in the world, and I want to visit your temple for a prayer. But first, let's have a Zoom call. Trust me, this conversation is for your own good. Please share your mobile number; I would be grateful. Thank you!"

Ali's relationship with Khan ended in 1999, but she has continued to support him despite their past. In a recent interview, she condemned the death threats directed at him, emphasizing that violence is never the solution, as reported by Hindustan Times. She highlighted the importance of seeking justice through legal means rather than resorting to harm, saying, "Taking someone's life is not acceptable, whether it's Salman or an average common man."

Somy has previously called on the Bishnoi community to forgive Khan for his past actions regarding the alleged hunting incident involving Blackbucks, asserting that the incident occurred many years ago when Khan was much younger. She urged the community to let go of past grievances, stressing that "harming Salman Khan will not bring back the blackbuck."

As Somy continues her advocacy work and attempts to bridge gaps through dialogue, her invitation to Bishnoi adds another layer to the complex narrative surrounding these high-profile figures in Indian media.
